The ariguanabense women celebrate their 55th birthday

Artemisa, Cuba.- Committed to staying ahead, the Federation of Cuban Women of San Antonio de los Baños,in this town up to the 55th anniversary of the organization with progress in achieving gender equality, faithful to the legacy enrich the daily activity and testify the women role in all fronts.
Belkis Rodriguez, president of the organization points out that at neighborhood level made exchanges between young founders and to emphasize the autonomy achieved by Cuban women in the Revolution, the FMC role and their actions in community.
About August 23rd, women are involved in the preparation of a representative rug. The use of fabric scraps, fibers and other material with embroidery and fabrics. The representation of the villa will be added to other municipalities to form the provincial blanket in the celebrations for the Commander´s birthday next August 13th.
Other activities include a walking this August 11th from José Martí Park in San Antonio de los Baños until Marti Forest, a place where they make a camping trip.
As part of this day, the distinction August 23rd will also be given to outstanding leaders in their communities and the political cultural gala in which they will be announced the most outstanding towns of Artemisa province.

With the question of What can young people do about climate change?, representatives from 19 Caribbean countries are meeting today at the Havana´s Nacional Hotel as part of UNESCO's 2nd International School of Sciences.

Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
