The First Marxist Party, since its inception, remains the main mission to defense the workers and peasants rights, the cohesion of the unions, the vindication of the rights and opportunities of women and youth. After the Revolution triumph and the unity achieved between sectors and political organizations in Cuba, just in celebrating the 90th anniversary of the first Marxist-Leninist Party of Cuba founding, the party organization remains at the forefront of society.

The foundation of the first Marxist-Leninist Party of Cuba was one of the most important moments of Cuban political history. Mella, representative of the student league and the most progressive sectors of youth and Baliño, representative of the old fighters of the working and independence cause: the union of two generations of revolutionaries. Baliño had participated in the Cuban Revolutionary Party founded by José Martí.

The Communist Party of 1925 resulted from the merger of several groupings of Marxist tendencies existing in the country; society as a whole is projected to hold in April 2016 the VII Congress of the PCC.

Our principles, concepts and aims to consolidate and strengthen socialism, which do not give attest to the historical continuity and adherence to the ideals of Baliño Carlos Julio Antonio Mella, Blas Roca Calderío, Juan Marinello, Carlos Rafael Rodriguez leaving to temper the organization to the demands of modern society.

Having that cohesive organization allows us to work in support of the Revolution, ingredient in political activity with the masses; it is also an essential link in supporting the development of new economic and social model of the country to ratify the socialist character of the revolution.
 Our party demonstrates the left role in the world, it is with the people, in favor of the humble masses, the poor and the needy people, in response to capitalist stranglehold on our nations; Example is crucial that provides people and invites them to join to change the historical fate of Latin America, not to remain subdued capitalism and imperial system offers a real chance to achieve real future that must prevail from Latin American integration.
