Artemisa Hunters ready for the National Baseball Series

Artemisa, Cuba.- The Provincial Commission of Baseball in Artemisa ánd the direction of Hunters Warriors team, made public its participation in the 55th National Baseball Series.

With the presence of Carlos Lois, Chief Technical Officer of the National Baseball Commission and Omar Linares, a Cuban glory sports, and other officials of the Party, Government and INDER in the province, shown all the work done in baseball before make the Artemisa team.

Thirty-two players make up the selection, spread over three catchers, eight infielders, seven outfielders and fourteen pitchers. The average age is 23.5 years overall, with four members of the Communist Party of Cuba and five of the UJC, plus six who study the Bachelor of Physical Culture, and seven rookies in the set.

The masked are José Carlos Padrón, Andy Cosme and Roberto Games. As infielders are Roberto Zulueta (captain), Lian Camilo Rodriguez, Dennis Fritze, Victor González, Luis Alberto Medina, Yoan Moreno, Omar Hojas and Osbec Pacheco.

To patrol the grounds made the grade Osmel Fraga, Erick Cándano, Yohandry Urgelles, Lázaro Dayán Pérez, Osmany Hernández, Yosvany Peñalver and Josá Angel Castillo.

The pitchers are headed by lefty Yulieski Gonzalez and Miguel Lahera, José Angel Garcia, Jose Luis Padrón, Israel Sánchez Cuesta, Geonel Gutiérrez, Rubén Hernández, Yanier Viera, Raymel Pérez, Lazaro Alberto Pedro, Michel Ortiz, Oriel Martinez, Ricardo Martinez and Gerardo Miranda

Again, the direction will be by Danny Valdespino Roche, accompanied by Jorge Luis Crespo as trainer and coach of third, Yensy Moreno Mujica, first of coach José Manuel Pedroso and Roberto León will be in charge of pitching, José Antonio Soto, is responsible for defense, load the bats José Ángel Prieto, Roger Nuñez and Raidel Castaneda, will be as a physician and psychologist, Yasniel Lima is the masseuse and the delegate José Cuendia with Leonardo Quesada as Provincial Commissioner.

The team will be champion on Wednesday, August 26th, at the Mausoleum of Artemisa Martyrs, from ten in the morning and start the series on Sunday 30th facing Granma and Sancti Spiritus as visitors and then debut in the July 26th with Industrial and Camagüey.

The goal of the Hunters is to reclassify the top eight of Cuba to be in the second round and thus must win more than twenty games as they did in the two remaining series. In the 53 ended with (24 and 21) tied with Ciego de Avila and the 54 (25 and 20) ahead of Santiago de Cuba.
