Recognize ariguanabense female with the distinction August 23rd
Artemisa, Cuba.- In recognition of the performance and dedication to the revolutionary work, the ariguanabense Ismelia Salas Diaz, is awarded with the Distinction August 23rd, the highest honor awarded by the Federation of Cuban Women.
The honoree is a member of the women's organization from four decades, most notably for many years as an activist and organizer secretary of the delegation 3 in block 13 of the FMC, in San Antonio de los Baños. She has a relevant social history and stands out for her role in community activities.
Ismelia Salas, contributes to education of federated incoming, cooperates in the integration into society of those young unrelated to the study or work, geared to the women victims of spousal abuse and visits families with social problems.
It also organizes the festivities in collective birthday of the Union and participate in cultural activities on the occasion of historical commemorations such as International Women's Day and the founding date of the Federation of Cuban Women.
It is noteworthy in this ariguanabense her collaboration in the workshops of dolls and other manual activities with the use of papier mache technique, garment, as well as exhibitions of woven..
The provincial ceremony is celebrated this Thursday at the Mausoleum to Artemisa Martyrs, in the context of the 55th anniversary of the organization. The event is commemorated with more women in leadership positions in key sectors such as health, education, science, tourism and others, as well as a higher incorporation of 14 year olds into the ranks of the Federation of Cuban Women .
Founded on August 23rd, 1960, brings together the women, organized in neighborhoods, and assumes the empowerment of women and gender equality.
