Equatorial Guinea Iterates Support to End of Blockade of Cuba

Malabo-The Government in Equatorial Guinea reiterated its support to ending the economic, trade and financial blockade of Cuba by the United States, a stance that continues to have an increasing support by the international community.

That stance was confirmed by the third Vice Prime Minister of the Government in Equatorial Guinea, Alfonso Nsue Mokuy, in charge of the human rights ministry, during a welcome audience to Cuban Ambassador Pedro Doña.

Nsue Mokuy reiterated Malabo's willingness to continue demanding that Washington eliminates the blockade of the island and announced that in the 70th UN General Assembly, his country would defend once more definitive elimination of that unfair measure.

During the conversation, the Cuban diplomat reiterated his invitation to the second conference of strategic studies, entitled "Geopolitical Transition of Global Power: Between Cooperation and Conflict," summoned by the Center for Research on International Policy, to be held in Havana on October 14-16.

Nsue Mokuy confirmed that he would pay an official visit, greet and exchange with top officials of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Parliament, the Communist Party, the Cuban Women's Federation and other institutions.

He highlighted that he respected and admired Cubans for keeping their dignity and defense of their independence and sovereignty.

He highlighted the historic relations between Equatorial Guinea and Cuba and how they are strengthened day by day in all areas, in which the willingness of both heads of State is involved.

Doña ratified the permanent willingness of his Government and people to continue extending those relations, especially cooperation in areas as health and education.
