Break the Inertia

"There is no political-ideological work if we do things wrong, if the people do not participate, if leaders have no prevention and exemplary nature, lack of control, indiscipline and little combativeness, and if individualism emerges: such attitudes are part of a neoliberal and capitalist behavior, quite far from the essence of the Cuban Revolution based on social equity. "

This was a reflection of Miguel Diaz-Canel, member of the Political Bureau and first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, in the party’s balance assembly held in Bauta Township ;Diaz-Canel also insisted on paying attention to youngsters, present and future of the country. "We understand their concerns, trust their abilities, guide them ... because their are facing different times and scenarios, when diplomatic relations Cuba - United States are restored . This is an achievement of historical leadership of the Revolution. All that demands a better political training.

Those present highlighted the need to strengthen cadre policy. Local authorities should focus such policy on capable and committed persons ; this is a weakness in Bauta municipality together with the lack of action against illegalities, especially in Baracoa, where it is needed development in more cultural projects to have a proper and educated recreation. They expressed the responsibility of the respective party structures.

"When party members are apathetic, debates are formal and there is pessimism to face and solve the difficulties; the organization’s internal life is poor and we show the same pessimism ... so it is impossible to mobilize the collective and change the idiological and economic environment. We must never forget the people’s opinion, said Diaz-Canel.

Jose Antonio Valeriano Fariñas, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Artemisa, talked about the responsibility of Bauta’s settlers with the territorial reorganization, land use, and the fight against illegalities and social indiscipline. It is needed to demand responsability , we must break the inertia to move forward.

The new Party Committee, the Executive Board was elected in the assembly and the first secretary in Bauta Alexander Valdes Valdes was ratified, who expressed his commitment to the great responsibility he had and confirmed: "We are all very important in the place we work, but we always has to think about the Party and the people. They are the ones we devoted our work to."
