University Student Federation (USF) is a source of the progress that Cuba needs in all areas.  In my opinion, it is the center of the transformations in our country´s Universities, where future professionals are formed in various areas of knowledge.

Students demonstrate willingness, commitment and dedication in the transformations experienced by the Higher Education since 2009. Today University Student Federation (USF)  is an organization that has a great strength in academic centers, accompanying  with freshness, criteria and accountability, each of the changes implemented.

This was acknowledged by Dr. Rodolfo Alarcón Ortiz, Minister of Higher Education, speaking at the conference of the USF National Council this year, which analyzed the impact of changes in higher education, its impact on the students and how the organization can contribute  to the constant improvement of the Cuban University.

 In San Antonio de los Baños, where the USF is represented in the  Medical Sciences Faculty, the university students have the courage and the spirit to take on any change,  to bring their innovative ideas, opinions and disagreements if necessary.

Entry requirements for universities were modified; teachers reach higher levels of qualification, infrastructure centers gradually begins to recover, a positive leap occurs in everything related to computing means, both in equipment and connectivity. But today it is also necessary to adapt these changes to the students´ social life , to the formation of values. I think it is necessary to strengthen the work to graduate the true professional that the country demands.
