Artemisa, Cuba - To raise the Party work to increase the internal life of its members and them to achieve greater external life through all their actions, was the call made by the member of the Cuban Politburo and first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, during the performance of the Assembly of Balance of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the municipality of Mariel in the province of Artemisa, in view to the seventh Congress of the political organization.

The members of the Cuban Party debated about the works and the responsibilities of the grassroots organizations of the Communist Party in the territory, to prevent acts of corruption and illegalities.

Another issue discussed by the delegates at the Balance meeting of the PCC in Mariel was the impact of the investment process in the Special Zone of Development (ZED).

To conclude the balance of the Party the delegates elected the Municipal Committee and this in turn approved the new local bureau of the organization and was ratified as first secretary of the Party in the municipality of Mariel, Frank Tejeda.
