Craft Fair in the Ariguanabo

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - This town developed the Popular Craft Fair during the ariguanabense culture week , located in the José Martí park all day.

The space shows works of Ariguanabo popular artisans. They show rubberized wire, glass and mixed techniques and deal with issues like love, childhood, flora and fauna.

Colors and attention to detail of the products reign , mainly for household implements. The artists also participate in exhibitions that make the Culture House , in community activities, fairs and other municipalities.

Several members of this group were winners in The 3rd Traditions Salon Nora Lloro opened recently. However, the creators keep their product offerings during the weekends.

Fifty years telling stories

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.

Cuban minister stress importance of culture for the fulfillment of Agenda 2030

Paris - Cuba’s Minister of Culture, Alpidio Alonso, assessed the role of culture in the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, during a multilateral forum held ay UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

For the quality of teaching

"At the Eduardo Abela Villarreal Vocational Art School, located in San Antonio de los Baños, the quality of the teaching-educational process is prioritized," said Mirelis Ferrer Llanes, head of the General Teaching Department at this institution.
