Havana, Cuba - The First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received His highness Sheik Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, who is on an official visit to Cuba.

During the meeting, held on Monday afternoon, the two authorities ratified the good state of bilateral bonds and the possibilities of cooperation in the economic, commercial and financial sectors. Likewise, they tackled other topics of interest on the international and regional agendas.

Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Mohammed Al Khaja, Head of the Office of the Foreign Minister; Bader Al-Matrooshi, appointed ambassador of the United Arab Emirates; and Rowda Al Otaiba, Director of the Department of American Affairs of the Foreign Ministry.

Also participating in the meeting, representing Cuba, were Armando Vergara, Deputy Director General of Bilateral Affairs, and other officials of the Foreign Ministry.
