American Musicians Confirmed Participation in Jazz Plaza 2015

Havana - American rock and roll band ''ZZ Top'' and saxophonist Kenny G are included in the guest list to the International Jazz Plaza Festival 2015, from December 17 to 20, confirmed the organizing committee.
Guitarist and singer Billy Gibbons, bassist and singer Joseph Dusty Hill, and drummer Frank Beard are members of the famous group ZZ Top', and their visit to Havana shows their interest in Cuban music, which has been also source of inspiration for some of their songs and compilations.
The Festival's organizing committee published a statements in the Granma newspaper, in which informed that ZZ Top will be performing at the Cuban Art Factory, although there is the strong possibility of a second presentation at the Maxim Rock.
Kenny G, known for his interpretation of a light jazz music, will perform in Havana with his group. This instrumentalist and composer is well accepted by the Cuban public.
The International Jazz Plaza Festival is organized annually since 1984 by the Cuban Institute of Music, with the participation of Cuban bands, soloists and guests, who gather in Havana for interaction and dialogue.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
