Cuba Vibra! Rhythms Heat Up New York

New York-Ballet Lizt Alfonso promises today to heat up the cold New York night with its show Cuba Vibra!, a mix of contagious rhythms of the Caribbean island performing at The New Victory Theater, in Manhattan.

The Cuban company invites adults and youths of the Big Apple to defy

 

temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius, among the lowest this autumn.

At the rhythm of the fusion of cha cha cha, salsa, rumba, conga and bolero, the Ballet founded 24 years ago by Alfonso will stage tonight the first of 15 presentations this season in the theater inaugurated in 1900, which two decades ago reopened its doors in the emblematic intersection of Times Square with a new vision, to please families and children.

According to daily The New York Times, Cuba Vibra! awakens both energizing as captivating expectations.

Not less suggestive is the review of website The New Victory Theater, that summons t olive the â��superior synchronism of 18 dancers filling the stage with a delicious finesse in harmony with Afrocuban drums and the virtuosity of a live band.â�Ö

Cuba Vibra! tours the music and dances of the largest of the Antilles from the 50â�Ös to the present, a real challenge to put on stage the magic of six decades in one hour 35 minutes, including an interval.

The Ballet Lizt Alfonso will be running until November 29, in a new visit to New York, the second of tyhe company to The New Victory Theater.
