Cuban Heroes Visit Birthplace of Fidel and Raúl Castro

Holguin - Heroes of the Republic of Cuba Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, René González, Ramón Labañino and Fernando González visited the eastern province of Holguin, where they toured the municipality of Biran -the birthplace of Cuban Revolution Leader Fidel Castro and President Raúl Castro.
While in Biran, the Cuban Five -as these five men are known internationally- talked with local authorities and residents, whom they thanked for their warm hospitality and their support for the international campaign to free the Five from U.S. prisons.
Also in Holguin, the Cuban heroes visited an exhibition of paintings by Antonio Guerrero, one of the Cuban Five. Antonio explained that the paintings on display, featuring Cuban revolutionary women, were the result of years of work, while he was imprisoned in the U.S.
The Cuban Five also met in Holguin with visiting solidarity activists from Mexico, Spain, Canada, Costa Rica, Austria and Australia.
Culture
Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
