Antidoping Control: Presentation Card for Cuban Delegation

Havana - The Cuban athletes to take part at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) will do it with three antidoping control tests on them, assured Cuban sports executive Pavel Pino, director of the Cuban Institute for Sports Medicine.
During a meeting with the sport press reporters who went to the Havana Sports City to cover it, Pavel Pino stated that there are between 80 and 100 monthly tests for the Cuban national pre-teams, so that the ones selected to compete in Rio, have at least three antidoping tests.
Pino made emphasis in the good state of health of the Cuban athletes, who are being tested in the lab and the playground, together with other tests, with supervision of the hygiene, nutrition and epidemiology aspects, using 21 national and foreign products.
On the contracts to Cuban athletes abroad, Cuban Handball Commissioner Andres Hurtado stated that another seven players, will travel to Spain (two women) and Portugal (five men) as part of the program the Cuban Sports Institute (INDER) has scheduled.
Hurtado recalled that since November last year, five Cuban male athletes play in the main Portuguese league, now accumulating 12 league matches and four of the Champions League, a fact, that is for the quality of our sport.
Meanwhile, José Ramírez, head of the Basketball Committee, said that the players are currently 11 (six male and five female) who play in Argentina, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Bolivia, a nation that has expressed interest by another two Cuban players.
Meanwhile, Luis de la Portilla, Commissioner for the Wrestling Federation of Cuba, concerned the interest of the German Bundesliga to expand the presence of Cuban fighters in their tournament, and recalled that, in 2015, three wrestlers competed in the main competition.
A delegation of the German entity will visit the island in March to realize this new project, said hatch, who announced that the India had also shown interest in the local fighters.
