Artemisa, Cuba - The Cuban Women Federation, (FMC), in the municipality of Caimito executes a group of activities in order to celebrate the International Women's Day, this March 8.

Idalmis Baz Brizuela, General Secretary of this organization in the town, explained that they are doing a previous work in the neighborhoods through the Houses of Guidance to Women and the Family where they try to prepare the young women in relation to the rights they have in our country and strengthen the structures at the base.

On March 8, will take place a fair in the morning where local artisans will present their works and will put them on sale for the entire population.

Coinciding with the date will be opening in the Art Gallery of the locality an exhibition with a presentation of the works done by the plastic artists of the territory related to women. That moment will be shared with Nilda González Hernández, maximum female leader in the province of Artemisa.

Baz Brizuela added that all these spaces will be utilized to insert the women of Caimito in the process of the anniversary 56 of their organization and also that the people of the Green Villa will enjoy on March 8 of a cultural Gala in salute to the date.
