Artemisa, Cuba – The operation of the more than 50 non-agricultural cooperatives of Trade and Gastronomy in the province of Artemisa, was assessed during the most recent session of the Council of the Provincial Administration.

The high prices of the products offered and the failure by the Business Units of Base of commerce with the delivery of some products to produce sausages, smoked meats and chicken are among the greatest difficulties.

During the analysis of the progress of the new form of economic management in the province of Artemisa, executives of the company of Trade, Gastronomy and Services also expressed that some providers do not recognize the legal personality of the cooperatives what makes more difficult the contracting process.

Failures in the supply of cigars and tobaccos by the Wholesale Food Company and the lack of training of some workers are also among the deficiencies which according with what expressed will find solution in the new units of gastronomic service.
