Cuba appoints manager for baseball team against Tampa Bay

The Cuban Baseball Federation announced that Victor Mesa Martinez will be the head coach of the local squad that on March 22 will face the MLB team Tampa Bay Rays.
Such designation recognizes the performance of Matanzas team, which coached by him led the teams qualified to playoffs in this current National Series, success in which the status of top winner achieved in the second stage had much to do.
Likewise, the local organization valued his status as a former exceptional athlete and the vast experience accumulated as head coach put him in a position to contribute to the purpose of satisfying the expectations of the fans in a match full of high symbolism.
The 41 athletes invited to the training camp have responded to the demands of a coaching staff enhanced by the presence of important glories, amid a high commitment to worthily represent the aspiration of millions of Cubans.
