Kingston - The Cuban badminton player Osleni Guerrero will take part in the 2nd edition of the International Tournament of Jamaica, from March 17 to 20 in this capital, confirmed the organizers Tuesday.

Guerrero, the first preclassified under the masculine individual event, will use the event in Jamaica to get ready for the Giraldilla de La Habana tournament, from March 23 to 27, an event in which he will try to retain the crown obtained last year.

Also, every competition is fundamental in the emulation for the Antillean athlete to obtain his ticket to the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro, which clasificatory process finishes on next May 1st.

In what it goes of the competitive period, Guerrero conquered the title in the contest of Guatemala, event in which he added 2, 500 units for the world ranking list, in which he turns out to be located in the 58th place.

The Cuban, in his most recent performance in a foreign tournament, the International Cup of Sao Paulo, Brazil, lost in the quarter finals in a match against Polish Adrian Dziolko.

Guerrero, in his competitive route until May, must compete, also, in the Grand Prix of Sao Paulo, the Challenge of Peru and the International of Chile.
