Artemisa, Cuba._The battle against Aedes Aegypti mobilizes the population of San Antonio de los Baños, and of the country. As we know, this insect challenges us with three virus and alerts those who have no perception of the risk.
In San Antonio de los Baños, a brigade composed of reservists from the Revolutionary Armed Forces ( FAR) was activated several days ago in order to eliminate the vector and to avoid the entry of the Zika virus to our country. The territory involves all sectors and organizations, but there are still irresponsible people, who refuse to receive the focal treatment.
We must all participate as there are possibilities that the virus enters the country. The consequences are known. Babies may suffer from microcephaly, causing a delay in learning, which substantially limits the life of those affected and their families.
We should act consciously against the Aedes Aegypti and Albopictus Aedes, transmitters of Zika virus, because the virus can affect all of us without distinction. Our health depends on the prevention and care we have today.
