Solaci President Recognizes Cardiology Progress in Cuba

Havana -The President of the Latin American Society of Intervention Cardiology, Ricardo Lluberas, has said that Cuba has undertaken the highest number of cardiovascular operations in the region after making an annual 170 angioplasties per 100,000 inhabitants.
During one of the sessions of the 29th Conference on the issue and during an exclusive interview with Prensa Latina, Lluberas said that the Cuban health system was enviable and it was an example to the whole world.
He also said that health in Cuba is "absolutely democratic, equal for all people and displays an excellent spirit of solidarity."
The Uruguayan cardiologist acknowledged that "Latin American nations should unit to overcome the difficulties of development in intervention cardiology."
He also stressed that the meeting was a good stage for exchanging experiences and presenting new techniques in the treatment of heart diseases.
The 29th Latin American Conference on Intervention Cardiology, concludes today at the Havana Conference Center.
