United Nations - President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, called on here today for a global campaign designed to show all the information related to the Panama Papers, in response to the intention of using them selectively against some governments.

"We demand to give all the information to see who is who, so we must make a global campaign", he told reporters, shortly after signing with UN General-Secretary Ban Ki-moon the invitation to the Third Conference of the United Nations on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III), scheduled for October in Quito.

According to Correa, the circles of power hired journalists enemies of certain governments to find items that would hurt them.

"In our case, the enemy newspapers are El Comercio and El Universo, open opponents of the government, but they found absolutely nothing, which shows that we are honest", he said.

Correa denounced the selective fight against corruption, because in his opinion it only leads to more corruption.

We can not tolerate this, the childishness describing as good and innocent the private entrepreneurs, and qualified as evil and corrupt the public authorities, although the opposite could be proved in both cases, he said.

For Ecuadorian President the Panama Papers ratified the strategy of power groups to immobilize the legitimate and democratic governments to maintain their domination.
