Work well, Then Fulfill the People’s Demands

Artemisa, Cuba - The population’s satisfaction depends a great deal on the proper functioning of the Assemblies of People's Power, seriousness in taking agreements , severe demands in order that administrative fulfill them and serious and thorough work performed by committees according to reports during the seventeenth regular session of the second term of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power.

Juan Dominguez Miranda, president of the governing body in the province, said that part of the assemblies improvement includes to keep the people informed and ensure their participation and involvement in the tasks, especially economic ones , because without efficiency it is not possible to produce resources to solve problems, and he stressed the need to be more stringent if the administration fails to fulfill any agreement.

During the report of the Municipal Assembly in Artemis, delegates agreed on the progress of this structure and noted some aspects they should work on.

Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, member of the Central Committee, secretary general of Cuban Workers Federation (CTC) and deputy to the National Assembly in the municipality of Artemisa, highlighted the critical sense of the report. " Artemisa city develops , there are efforts to improve facilities, rescue services, shows the government's interest in serving the people, but there is too much to be done in terms of leaders training policy and demand administrations.

On the attention provided by the Council of the Provincial Administration to the proposals it was said that it is still unresolved from the last process 35.2 percent of the complaints , belonging to Company for Electric Networks , Water and Sewer and Road Companies.

Delegates talked about that it is needed to pay more attention to population complaints . Boards of management in every entity just make cold statistical analysis instead of making analyzing the issue carefully.

Delegates also discussed about the planting, production and marketing of agricultural products in the province, affected by adverse weather conditions in late 2015 and early 2016.

They agreed that agriculture has recovered a little by planting short-cycle crops, but not the desired lower prices impact has not been achieved. "A state market in each municipality is not the solution; is a task that depends on everyone, from producers to everyone involved in the marketing process, "said Juan Dominguez.
