Havana - After the successful Farewell Tour with the Buena Vista Social Club, the Cuban singer Omara Portuondo prepares for another great work, this time with the Flamenco singer Diego El Cigala.

"This summer will start the concerts and I'm very excited about it", Omara Portuondo said to Prensa Latina.

With this European tour Omara celebrates her 85th birthday accompanied by the beautiful singing voice of the Spanish singer: together they chose a repertoire that includes Cuban classics and iconic songs from both singers' repertoire.

Omara and El Cigala performed together for the first time in 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl as part of the American tour of Buena Vista Social Club.

The 85 Tour, which starts next July, will allow the singer to meet with old friends and make a recap of her 70-year musical career.

The Buena Vista Social Club's Diva turned 85 on October 29, 2015 during the Farewell Tour of the legendary Cuban music group.
