Moscow - A squadron of Su-25 assault airplanes painted the sky over Moscow''s Red Square with the colors of Russia''s flag, at the closing of the official parade for the 71st anniversary of victory over fascism.
The Russkiye Vityazi (Russian Knights) and Strizhi (Swifts) aerobatic teams flew their Su-27 and MiG-29 jet fighters in formation during the parade.
The Berkuty (Golden Eagles) team also made an appearance in their Mi-28N attack helicopters, also known as 'Night Hunters'.
The total number of aircraft, 71, coincided with the number of years since the great victory over fascism, on May 9th, 1945.

The Immortal Regiment will bring a close to the parade with a march on the square, a patriotic action that pays tribute and honors all those who contributed to the victory of the Soviet people.
