Cuba to Hold Meeting on Management of Historic Centers

Havana - Cuba is ready to hold the 14th Meeting on Management of Historic Centers, which will take place from May 17th-20th in Havana.
Entitled 'Let's Talk About Havana', the event will bring together representatives from Mexico, Spain, United States, Cape Verde, Dominican Republic, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Brazil and Cuba to discuss Havana's development in a new international context.
According to a report issued by the Office of the Historian of the City (OHCH), the meeting will host five thematic workshops, including: 'Cultural heritage and identity', 'Cultural heritage and economy' and 'Cultural Heritage and population'.
Participants will also discuss topics such as 'Cultural Heritage and territory' and 'Let's talk about Havana'.
During this last discussion, attendees will present views on the strengths and weaknesses of San Cristobal de La Habana and the main opportunities and threats facing the current global scenario.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''.
