Emergencies, Disasters under Discussion at Psychology Convention

Havana - A round table discussion on vulnerability, risk management and psycho-social reconstruction in emergencies and disasters is part of the agenda of the Seventh Intercontinental Convention on Psychology, which will run today and tomorrow.
The event is part of the Sixth International Conference on Psychology in emergencies and disasters, one of the 26 sub-events in session in the meeting.
Chile will present experiences in working with children who have suffered a natural disaster, while specialists from Costa Rica will enrich the debate on how to take forward the process of rehabilitation and reconstruction of affected communities.
The International Symposium on clinical psychology and health will also begin today. The event includes a lecture on how to teach and improve emotional intelligence, by American doctor Suzan Wasik.
Opened yesterday at Havana's Conference Center, the event brings together specialists from 46 countries.
Culture
Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
