Increased Kidnappings Reported in Mexico

Mexico - From December 2012 to April this year, 7,556 people were kidnapped, something that represents an average of 184 people each month, 43 people each week and six daily, said sources today.
This was confirmed by Isabel Miranda de Wallace, president of the civil organization Stop Kidnapping, presenting the monthly report on the incidence of this crime.
She said that during the current management the crime rate has increased very much. She said that an increase of 19 percent was reported in the number of such crimes.
The states with more cases of kidnappings are State of Mexico, Morelos and Mexico City.
The organization praised the work of the five states where these crimes have not been reported, Aguascalientes, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Nayarit and Tlaxcala.
