Artemisa will make history in Expocuba

Artemisa, Cuba - From today until Sunday, more than 70 companies of the province of Artemisa will be present at the 6th edition of the provincial exhibition of Artemisa at the Central Pavilion of Expocuba in the Cuban capital.
The sample of the socioeconomic development of the territory entitled, Artemisa, growing with its history, is dedicated to the 90th birthday of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and the 130th anniversary of the abolition of the slavery.
In more than 1000 square meters of the capital exhibition site, the young province will develop an extensive cultural program in which are involved the Museum of Humor, the International School of Film and Television and the center of the visual arts Eduardo Abela.
The pavilion number 2 of Expocuba, will host the exhibition and sale of agricultural, industrial and handicraft products and also will be present the services of the Company of Commerce and Gastronomy of Artemisa.

Havana - Cuban intellectual Abel Prieto was appointed president of Casa de las Américas, the center's website La Ventana reported today.
Prieto, former minister of Culture and currently serving as director of the Marti Program Office and president of the José Martí Cultural Society, was nominated for the post by Alpidio Alonso, current Culture Minister.
