Cuba Wins Volleyball Panamerican Title

Mexico - The Cuban men''s volleyball team today is enjoying their Panamerican title won in a dramatic match against the Argentinean team in the Mexican gym, Juan de la Barrera.
The brand-new champions recovered from being two sets down against the Argentinians, finally winning the gold medal at the 11th PanAmerican Cup, which was held in Mexico city.
This is the second cup for Cuba, and the fourth final for Argentina without winning, since the tournament began in 2006.
The victory was decided by two points for the Caribbean island (19-17). The win also gained them the ticket to the 2017 World League.
Abrahn Alfonso scored 28 points for the Cuban side and Argentinean Bruno Lima scored 29 for his team.
Earlier, Canada beat Mexico in three sets to earn the bronze medal of the tournament.
