Cuban Vice President Visits Pushkin Institute in Russia

Moscow - The first Vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, today conducted a working visit to the State Institute of Russian Language, Alexander Pushkin on the conclusion of his first official visit to the Federation, in a tour that also included Belarus.
The Cuban leader held an exchange at that higher education center with the Deputy Minister of Education, Veniamin Kaganov, and rector Margaret Rusetskaya.
The parties discussed the possibilities of increasing academic exchange and the initiative to create a department for the study of the Russian language at the University of Havana.
Diaz-Canel signed the guest book at the Pushkin Institute, spoke with Cuban students studying there and even toured the dormitory to familiarize himself with the conditions in which they carry out their daily activities at the research center.
The first Vice president had earlier met with diplomats, officials of Cuba's mission in Moscow and groups of students, during which he referred to the results of his visit to Russia, that he considered to be successful.
He also provided information on the 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba held recently, and the importance of its agreements.
