ITU Praises Cuba''s Prestige in ICT Skills and Knowledge

Geneva -The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has praised Cuba''s skills and knowledge in the area of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT).
During a meeting with Cuban First Deputy Communications Minister, Jorge Luis Perdomo, Brahima Sanou, director of the Development Office of the Union, reiterated the organization's commitment to implement joint projects with Cuba.
The meeting allowed issues of common interest to be discussed and allowed Cuban experts to participate in the organization's meetings at an international and regional level.
The discusssions were also attended by Bruno Ramos, director of the Regional Office of ITU for the Americas. The entity and the Cuban Ministry of Communications have maintained fluid and excellent relations, according to a statement from the island's Permanent Mission in Geneva.
Perdomo is leading his country's delegation to the ITU Council in session in this Swiss city. The session will take place until June 2nd.
