Artemisa, Cuba – In order to increase the food production were recovered about 50 hectares of land infested of Marabou in the Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) Antero Regalado, in the municipality of Mariel in Artemisa.
According to Raúl Figueiras Fernández, president of the CPA, they worked for months on strong days to disinfect the lands with more than 20 years in that state.
The reclaimed lands in CPA of the province of Artemisa are now ready to start planting various crops, as part of a program that is carrying out in the young territory to bring agricultural products to the population and drop their prices.
The new farm 90 Anniversary of Fidel in Mariel is an experience that should gradually spread to the rest of the province and especially to the municipalities of Bauta, Guanajay and San Cristóbal.
