Real Madrid Keylor Navas to Undergo Heel Operation

Madrid - Ending the season with Los Blancos or Real Madrid in glorious fashion by lifting the Champions League trophy, Keylor Navas also did so in great discomfort.
The former Levante stopper had injured his Achilles tendon in early May but waited until the end of the campaign to fully see the extent of the damage.
After being ruled out of this summer's Copa America, Navas travelled to Amsterdam on Monday where he underwent a consultation.
His doctor informed the goalkeeper that due to the damage to the Achilles tendon, the best option would be immediate surgery, which will take place on Thursday June 9.
Whilst this will lengthen his stay on the sidelines, the decision comes at a good time with Real Madrid now awaiting the start of pre-season.
The Spanish club issued an official medical report which confirmed the decision to operate on Navas.
"It has been decided that the player will undergo a minimally invasive endoscopy in his left heel," read the statement.
