Photo Exhibition of Fidel Castro Opens in China

Beijing - "Fidel es Fidel," a photographic exhibition by Roberto Chile, has opened today in Beijing, on the occasion of the 90th birthday of the leader of the Cuban Revolution. Fidel Castro is a promoter of relationships between the Caribbean nation and Asia.

The exhibition was opened in the presence of Deputy Culture Minister of china, Ding Wei, senior members of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Latin American and Caribbean ambassadors and other diplomatic representatives. It will remained open at Beijing Library until June 16th.

The Cuban ambassador to China, Alberto Blanco, mentioned in his opening words the altruistic contribution, clear vision, rebellious spirit and austerity of the Cuban leader, known for his revolutionary work in Cuba, Latin America and the world in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Cuban Deputy Culture Minister, Julio Ballester, told Prensa Latina that Fidel always admired and still admires the fighting spirit of the Chinese people,their history and their tenacity to achieve development.

The Cuban official was impressed by the large number of young people who attended the opening ceremony.

According to him, their participation is a sign of the knowledge,in China, of the legacy of the statesman and revolutionary.

Transcendent moments of the revolutionary work carried out by Fidel Castro throughout history and his relationship with the people, are recalled by the exhibition.

The Ministry of Culture of China,the Cuban embassy and the Entertainment Group of China, organized the exhibit this year.
