Cuban Vice President Pays Tribute to Ho Chi Minh

Hanoi - Cuba´s Council of State Vice President, Salvador Valdes Mesa, today paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, on the third day of his visit to Vietnam.
After paying tribute to the independence leader at his Mausoleum, the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) Political Bureau member visited the nearby province of Ninh Binh, accompanied by the Cuban ambassador, Herminio Lopez, where the authorities received his delegation.
Valdes Mesa has traveled to Vietnam to inform authorities of the results of the 7th PCC Congress, as part of the frequent contact between the two parties, governments and peoples to strengthen their excellent bilateral ties.
The Cuban leader held talks yesterday with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Nguyen Phu Trong and President, Tran Dai Quang.
The Cuban vice president also officially met yesterday with Pham Minh Chinh, a member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat and president of the Organizing Committee of the CPV Central Committee.
