Spanish People Reflect before Foreseeable Election Results

Madrid-Spaniards reflect today about their vote at the general elections tomorrow, a repetition of the ones held in December, after which no party obtained the absolute majority to rule.

After 15 days touring the country, candidates closed their campaigns at midnight, focusing on future post-elections agreements in light of the uncertainty posed by the impossibility of ruling alone.

More than 36 million voters are called to vote on Sunday, in an election whose results will be as fragmented as the ones six months ago, according to polling houses.

If the prediction is confirmed, none of the main four political forces will reach the necessary majority, therefore new agreements will be necessary to get the country out of the stagnation caused by a provisional government.

Polls suggest that the conservative PeopleâÖs Party (PP), acting president Mariano Rajoy, will be the most voted like in December 20th, but he will not reach the parliamentary majority needed to guarantee a new mandate.

Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE)âÖs Pedro Sánchez that ranked below the conservatives in December could lower to the third position in view of the ascent of Unidos Podemos, an alliance achieved between United Left and the Podemos.

According to surveys, the progressive coalition with Pablo Iglesias as candidate to the presidency, will take the second position from the social-democrats that alternated power with the PP for more than three decades.
