Intelligent Classrooms in Cuba

The Ovaldo Herrera Computing Informatics and Electronic institute, which is located in Plaza de la Revolución municipality, carries out a high-tech experiment through the use of what it called as an intelligent classroom.

According to the Cuban official of the Beijing North Star enterprise, Iraya Rodríguez, the intelligent classroom is an original solution for the education with an interactive screen that work with tablets manipulated by the students through an interface into a computer by allowing to carry out a lesson in which the students and their teacher could exchange contents.
It could be used on line with some other classrooms as part of a student classroom connected between the near buildings. They can be connected network with other bedrooms or other areas of that educational institute. Moreover, another of the variants is the chance that the students could connect to their school’s servers from their houses if they had internet connection in order to send activities and communicating with other friends, checking lessons, make consultations, among other options.
It was acquired by the school center through a donation carried out by the Chinese Beijing North Star enterprise through an agreement with the local Ministry of Education in order that assigned institution could use it by including its programs of study into that system.
The Chinese enterprise, which is based in Cuba by the local Chamber of Commerce, presented high-tech products as part of the Second International Convention and Cubaindustría 2016 Exhibiting Fair event.
Iraya Rodríguez commented us that it was also exhibited other products such as the Water Treatment Plant for the human consumption, as well as a robotized mechanic arm for the industry that can make all the processes more productive, especially for those ones which are more dynamic for the man to improve the worker´s health.
