Politicians and entrepreneurs presented the Idaho-Engage Cuba State Council which was presided over by the governor Butch Otter and looks for pressuring the U.S. Council to end the traveling and trade prohibitions with Cuba.

With this decision, Idaho State becomes the eleventh U.S state that will be working to reduce the negative effects of the economic, trade and financial blockade imposed to Cuba by the United States since over fifty years already.

James Williams, who is the president of the Engage Cuba in Washington, commented that the success of the work of that council will provide huge opportunities for the agriculture and construction sectors of Idaho State.

In spite of the reestablishment of diplomatic relation and the bilateral interest, the U.S. government keeps a blockade policy that its damages cause, according to conservative numbers, some $ 121 thousand million dollars.
