International Early Childhood Education Conference dedicated to Fidel

The 12th International Early Childhood Education and Preschool Conference, opened July 12, in Havana, dedicated to the 90th birthday of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, who played a key role in establishing early childhood programs in the country.
"For his total support, his wisdom, and for the role he played in founding Cuba's Children's Circles, is why we dedicate this event to the figure of our Comandante en Jefe, Fidel Castro, and the unforgettable Vilma Espín, guide for many years of the Federation of Cuban Women," said Miriam Díaz, president of the organizing committee.
Attending the event are delegations from Panama, Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, El Salvador, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Venezuela, Guatemala, Italy, Uruguay, Haiti, the United States, Paraguay, Ecuador and Cuba.
The event will continue through July 14, under the banner of "From the womb to the future," focusing on cultural diversity and integral development to strengthen early childhood education programs.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
