Mitsubishi Corporation Office Opens in Cuba

The opening of the representation of the Mitsubishi Corporation from Japan in Cuba was recently carried out at the National Hotel, along with the presence of directors of that company and representatives from Cuban institutions and members of the diplomatic corps.

Eichi Tanabe, who is the executive vice-president of that corporation, pointed out that its links with Cuba dates back since the 1950 decade and it is taking advantage of the normalization process that was initiated by Cuba and the United States of America on December 17 th, 2014.Moreover, it did it fast to be the very first Japanese company with an office in this nation which is located in the Business center from Miramar district.

“In only three months, which is a really short time, we got the permission to open that office thanks to the support of the interested parts and the great expectations to which Mitsubishi has the highest interest to respond to. “He said.

“We have to contribute to this new era for the development of the relations through the models provided by the Japanese technology by respecting the singularity of this nation and its support to carry out new projects.” He pointed out.

The president of the Commerce Chamber, Orlando Hernández Guillén, welcomed the representatives of the Japanese company about which he said:

“We have great expectations about being able to advance through related operations and doing businesses through investments carried out between both nations and the Mitsubishi Corporation.”

Mitsubishi has a global net of up to 200 offices and subsidiaries and carry out businesses with over 600 companies of that business group in 90 nations, approximately.

Japan keeps and increasing cooperation with Cuba through different sectors, including the hydraulic, harvest of rice, health and energy one, respectively.
