The ongoing Republican Convention

The National Republican Convention, where Donald Trump would be nominated as candidate to the U.S. Presidency, might be one of the most turbulent carried out in the last 50 years, according to some experts.

First of all, there are many concerns about the safety issue in Cleveland State. This year there have been recent racial events on violence that has happened in some regions of that nation, including the conflicting mixture of force between the Conservative Republicans and the left-wing activists who would clash on the streets, and the nomination of a polemic and controversial candidate like Trump keep the authorities really worried.

In addition, the laws of Ohio State allow carrying offensive weapons and there are some groups of demonstrators who have said in advance that their members would march or protesting by carrying their weapons on their hips.
These elements rise the fear that the convention might be one of the most problematic carried out since the 1960 decade.

“I am really concerned that a violent conflict could begin.” James L. Hardiman, who is the vice president of the National Association for the Advance of the Colored People in Cleveland, said.

Requested Permissions to Demonstrations

Some 50 groups has requested permissions to the local authorities to allow them to March or protesting in the convention and there are other ones that plan to carry out their demonstrations without requesting any authorization.

The Federal government granted a help of $ 50 million dollars to cover the safety expenses and the city has allocated a great part of those resources to the buying of two thousand riot equipment for the police officers, as well as some ballistic-protection equipment, safety barriers and improvements in their surveillance systems.

The demonstrations started on Sunday, a day before the beginning of the convention and they will remain there during the four days of the event,
The main programmed events include a massive anti-Trump demonstration named as ´Dump Trump ´ and another one named ´Economic Justice´ against poverty and organized by the group named as ´To Organize Ohio.´

On Tuesday it was planned to carry out a demonstration named as ´United Community´ to stop the Hatred´ and organized by groups that support the immigrants.

On Wednesday and Thursday, there will be march named as ´Remaining United against Trump’ to be carried out and they are aimed at bringing together the different groups that are against the very likely Republican candidate to the White House.

The leader of the police union from Cleveland requested the governor of Ohio State to announce the state of emergency by forbidding the laws which allow the possibility about carrying weapons during the convention in the middle of new concerns about safety after the shooting with caused a death tool of three officers killed.

“The members of the new Black Panthers, which is a group that claim the ´black power´, are authorized to carry weapons during the ongoing Convention of the Republican Party in Cleveland, Ohio in the United States.” The major and the chief of the police of that city, confirmed recently.

The Ohio State, just like the majority of that nation, allows its citizens to have a weapon permission by carrying them in full view of everyone. The militants of the New Black Panthers party use that norm to announce that they would carry weapons the days that Republican convention could last in which Donald Trump would be very likely proclaimed as the candidate for the White House.

The new group has some similarities with the previous nationalist Black Panthers party which was created in the 1960 decade of the last century in the United States as a reaction from the Afro Americans against the racial segregation and the police violence. It won´t be the only group present in Cleveland on these dates given the Oath Keepers that defines itself as a anti governmental also announced that its members would attend armed to that convention.

The local authorities has been able to forbid water pistols, toy ones, cords, knives or spray deodorants within the area of the convention event.
The democrat candidate Hillary Clinton keeps ahead before her Republican rival. A survey carried out by the ABC News/ Washington Post gives an advantage of four points to the former U.S State Department among the registered voters which means the 43 percent of 43 ones, while the two percent of those ones consulted, said that they prefer the other candidate and the six percent stated that they would not vote for any of the two candidates.

The margin of the democrat candidate was reduced from a 12 percent in June to four at the moment.
“The convention will reveal a glamorous magazine set by the most expert comedian, and even a party contradicting itself.” Nathan González said to the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper.

As for the El Excelsior newspaper, “the ideas have not appear yet.” The attempt of party unification, which is the goal of the four-year events, seems to be a failed beforehand before the absences of many of the most important Republicans, including John Kasich, who is the governor of that State and former candidate to the presidency.

The concern of many traditional republicans was expressed on Saturday by the failed candidate Jeb Bush who, according to Trump, he “feeds” from the anxiety that seems to prevail in the United States, but I do not think that Trump reflects the principles of the inheritance from the Republican party, and I am honestly expecting that he does not represents its future.

The republicans get to Cleveland as a divided party and even at stake due to the racist campaign carried out by its still virtual candidate.

Nevertheless, the reality in Cleveland shows that Trump has the support of 1570 out of the 2340 delegates participating in the convention and there are some people or many of them who prefer Trump´s statements than the principles of the Republicans, as they represent their own opinions.
