Bashar Al Assad says Cuba is spearhead of Latin American Revolution

Havana, Cuba, Jul 22.- Cuba is and will be the spearhead of the revolutionary Latin American movement, while historic leader Fidel Castro is a icon of independence struggle, said Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
In statements to PL news agency, the Syrian head of state sent greetings to Fidel and Raul Castro and called for the strengthening of bilateral relations with Cuba, particularly in Education and Economy. He added that Syria and Latin America share strong coincidence in several areas, though such links are even strong with Cuba.
Cuban Revolution leader visited Damascus in 2001 and Assad paid a visit here in 2010.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
