Washington - Senator Bernie Sanders and First Lady Michelle Obama, highlight today among the speakers of the Democratic Convention, which will formalize the candidacy of Hillary Clinton for President of the United States.

The Democratic event begins amid scandals for the leaking to Wikiliaks of documents suggesting a conspiracy of the party elite to weaken Sanders in favor of Clinton.

Although Sanders immediately demanded the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, he ratified the promised support to Clinton, because the priority is to defeat Republican candidate Donald Trump.

The meeting in Philadelphia will highlight the agreements reached with Clinton to make her political program as "the most progressive" the party has had, because her program is socially higher to that of Trump.

The goal is to dramatically increase access to health and ensure free registrations at public universities for students from families with annual income below $125,000 USD, among other objectives.
