Dominican Panels and Working Tables to Show Solidarity with Cuba

Santo Domingo - The participants at the 7th Continental Solidarity Meeting with Cuba in the Dominican Republic developed here two panels, one about the participation of women in the integration process, and another about youth and solidary alternatives.
Four working tables were opened to be in session. The first, worked on a plan of action for solidarity with Cuba, to defeat the US blocakde and have the uS government return the territory that is occupied by US troops in Guantanamo.
The second, was focused on the colonial system in the Caribbean, the violation of human rights and the maltreament to the Cuban Five while they were in prison.
It also emphasizes on the release of Puerto Rican patriots Oscar Lopez Rivera and Ana Belen Montes, now in prison in the US.
The other working tables were dedicated to women, integration and work with young people.
This Friday was a bountiful day in books presentations. The qualifications were 'The counterrevolution in Puerto Rico. The case of Carlos Muñiz Varela' of authors Jesus Arboleya, Raúl Alzaga and Ricardo Fraga; 'The emergence of a leader', of Oscar Belliard; and 'The Gabai', of Carlos Peña.
Also it was a day of pleasant surprises since a photographic exhibition remained open on the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, presented by Alejandro Castro and the File of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, with graphs that gather meetings supported by the leader with important international personalities that have visited its house.
Also an awaited orator, the Brazilian priest Frei Betto, dictated a magisterial conference that dignified the solidarity practised by Cuba, summoned to following its example and advised to be employed at the conscience formation between the peasants, workers and young people the societies turned them into militants of the hope capable of transforming.
This Saturday concludes the event with the presentation of the results of the work, the approval of the resolutions and final declaration and the recognition to emphasized from the solidarity with Cuba.
Culture
Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
