Havana - US and Cuban representatives held the second informative meeting on mutual compensations this week in Washington, Cuba''s Foreign Ministry website Cubaminrex reported today.

In the meeting on Thursday, which was the continuation of that held in Havana in December, 2015, the delegations continued exchanging information about the demands by both countries.

During the meeting, they recognized the importance and usefulness of continuing these exchanges, which this time, were focused on their antecedents, characteristics, and legal grounds, with the objective of preparing the negotiation process on this issue.

The Cuban delegation was led by Vice Foreign Minister Abelardo Moreno and the US group had State Department Legal Adviser Brian J. Egan as leader.
