Venezuela Warns of Possible Violent Outbreaks

Caracas -The national leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Ernesto Villegas, warned of the possibility of new outbreaks of violence in the demonstration called by opposition groups for next Thursday,September 1st.
We must be ready for any scenario, he said during an interview with Venezolana de Television in which he called for a development of peaceful political initiatives.
In his view, there is not a humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, as the opposition claims, but a crisis of humanity: private enterprises have turned basic products into a profit, he warned.
While the right gamble with the people, the government is focused on economic recovery, noted Villegas.
Villegas, who was Minister of Communication and Information in 2012 and 2013, also highlighted the 'impressive force of Chavez supporters' in Venezuela. This weekend, President Nicolas Maduro denounced the beginning of a putschists plot against the country led by the United States and aimed at plaguing the territory with violence.
The president urged the people to take to the streets in the remainder of the year to defend the socialist project and maintain the stability of the nation.
