Russia Denounces Possible Manipulation Against Syrian Government

Moscow- Russia''s permanent representative at the UN, Vitali Churkin, denounced that there is the possibility of a falsification of evidence to accuse the Syrian government of using chemical weapons, as quoted today by the Russian press.
Churkin commented on the possibility of fabrication of evidence by the opposition or armed groups in Syria, with help from the outside, to implicate Damascus in at least two cases of use of toxic substances.
We have serious doubts about how witnesses are sought or responsibilities are demarcated in the theater of military operations in Syria, including the formula to determine the culprits for the use or not of aviation in the events.
The Russian diplomat recalled, for example, that in the Irlish airbase, after its occupation by forces of the Syrian opposition, nine armed helicopters remained there that could be used by them.
However, the joint report of the UN and the Organisation for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons considers unlikely that opposition or terrorist groups may have technical knowledge to utilize said aircraft, something that Churkin put very much in doubt.
The Russian representative called to avoid prejudices and stereotypes to determine responsibilities in the Syrian conflict, especially in the last three years, after Damascus agreed to eliminate its chemical arsenal under international inspection.
A Russian proposal to that effect prevented an attack prepared by Washington under the pretext of eliminating chemical weapons in Syria in the hands of the armed forces of that country.
