Gladys Bejerano signs Book of Condolence for Italy earthquake victims

Cuba - The Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba, Gladys Bejerano Portela, a vice president of the Council of State, signed the Book of Condolence opened at the Embassy of the Italy this Tuesday, August 30, following the devastating earthquake that struck the country on August 24, causing hundreds of deaths and significant material damages.

On behalf of the government and people of Cuba, the Vice President expressed heartfelt condolences and conveyed a message of solidarity to the government and people of Italy, extended to the families of the victims.

The Cuban official was accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Díaz.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
