Each new academic course means the study of the history of Cuba as a priority and Manuel Romero Ramudo, who has been a professor of the didactics subject for over 40 years, talked about the need about saving the related Cuban tradition from the smart exercise of the learning and teaching processes.
Romero Ramudo considered as strategic the fact about building and instilling the Cuban sensibility which features us as a people.
“We have to achieve intelligent readings which could strengthen the Cuban idea and the fact that it may grow from the light of Varela, those ideas are linked to the dignity, sovereignty of Cuba. This is achieved intelligently by studying and making the students to have their own opinions. This has been being achieved by creating the related habit about thinking before doing, and that is say, they having their criteria by not repeating the truths that are found in books only.” Professor Manuel Romero Ramudo, said.
“The dialogue about the Cuban idiosyncrasy should be about knowing what to ask and the study through different sources from the text book, which is a compulsory reference, along with primary and other sources with which have been written by witnesses and historic facts. Local hero José Martí exhorted to sit and watch the living world.” Manuel Romero Ramudo said, on a different occasion.
