Cuba and Quebec, Canada, signed on Tuesday in this capital three agreements that will make it possible to boost the progress of bilateral economic and commercial ties, in areas such as tourism and biopharmaceuticals.

The accords were signed during a business forum attended by Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment (MINCEX) Rodrigo Malmierca, and the Premier of Quebec, Philippe Couillard, who is on an official visit accompanied by representatives of 40 companies of different sectors.

The parties signed the document called Joint Declaration between MINCEX and the Ministry of International Relations and of the French Speakers, “focused on the development of cooperation,” asserted the Cuban official.

The also signed a bilateral agreement for the first stage of the cooperation project between the Tourism and Hotel Institute of that Canadian province and the Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourism System of Cuba.

The other accord consists in strategic cooperation between the office of the Scientific Director and the Higher Organization of the BioCubaFarma Business Management for the implementation of rain cartography Quebec, Canada, China and Cuba.

It was known that, at present, there are 40 Canadian branches in Havana, nine of them from Quebec.
